Review summary
The Carnival Valor was a good ship. Well maintained and clean.
The servers in the dining room (Lincoln) were amazingly good. I can't praise them highly enough. I'd provide names if anyone wants to request them as servers.
The cruise director, "Classy Cassie" and her assistant Sam were consistently crude and very UN family-friendly. I haven't experienced this level of trashiness in a Carnival cruse before. Very disappointing.
Our stateroom was always maintained well, and cleaned up quickly. We didn't have the "personalized" service there we were accustomed to in the past, however. That is, previous stewards went out of their way to make sure we knew their names, had cards to that effect, etc. But that is not a criticism of the service. It was excellent.
We continue to enjoy Carnival Cruises, and anticipate we will take more in the future. The three-star rating would have been four or five, had it not been for the disappointing cruise director.

Ship tip
The Serenity deck was nice, but VERY windy. If we'd traveled later in the year (not early February) that would not have been an issue, but it was a little (lot!) cold.
Ports of call
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
