Review summary

This was my 4th Carnival cruise.  The water was rough  for the first 4 days and we were anxious to get off the ship!   We were an hour late getting into port and missed our snorkeling tour in Aruba.  KAT, our taxi driver says that Carnival is late almost every time, so be careful when booking a tour not related to the cruise line.  If needing a taxi in Aruba, ask for KAT.  She is a local there and will take you where you want to go.  She said everyone knows her.  She was also there waiting for us at the end of the day.

We were also an hour late getting into Grand Turk, but ended up being able to stay an extra hour at the end of the day.

We ate every 2 hours, hungry or not. I still haven't stepped on the scales since returning!

Entertainment

The shows we saw were great! We missed a lot of the nighttime events because we are early nighters.

Service and Staff

Our cabin steward "Super Duper" was great!! Joseph, in the dining room was awesome!

Ship Quality

This is an older ship. It actually broke down 2 times and they had to repair an engine while on the water.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin steward was wonderful. He magically kept our room neat and tidy all day long.

Ship tip

The gym was great too. I managed to go 2 times. Serenity deck for 21+ was relaxing. It was very windy and the seas were rough the first 4 days. We had a great time!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Arriving to port went very smooth. Parking in garage was $135.

Oranjestad, Aruba

We went on Jolly Pirates sunset cruise and had a blast!

Willemstad, Curacao

We rented a car and found 2 secluded beaches. This is a desert island and does not have a lot of greenery. Saw wild flamingos and a couple iguanas crossing the road. Make sure you bring water shoes. It is very rocky and a lot of crushed coral and shells to walk on in the water.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Jack's Shack!! if you're looking to get out of the rat race! The beach is sandy with no rocks or shells to step on.
