Buffet food was poor. Dining room food was usually good. Other options like burrito bar and mongolian were only open for lunch when we were usually off the boat.

Housekeeping staff wa excellent. The wait staff in the formal diningroom was good. Staff at the buffet and gift shops and bars and other restaurants were generally poor.

Having never been on a cruise ship before we expected the room to be tiny, but this was not the case. At 6'5" I usually have to bend down in hotel room showers but this was not a problem either. Housekeeping staff was very friendly and attentive.

Purchased Bacab Kayak excursion through Carnival. It was fun but we didnt see as much wildlife as I had hoped for. Because we purchased our excursion through Carnival we got off the boat first. Other people had to wait until 10:00 to get off the boat.

Split a cab with another couple. For $80 the cab driver took us anywhere we wanted to go around the island. He took us to a monkey park that was the highlight of the trip. For $5 you get a tour of the park and you get to play with the monkeys. He waited for us while we were at the beach and took us back to the port at the end of the day.

We were looking forward to Stingray City but our trip was cancelled due to rough water. We went to Smith's cove instead. It is a rather smal beach, the snorkeling was good and the beach was not crowded at all

Cons: Food was mediocre, at best
