Review summary

For a brief overview I would like to say that this did not leave me wanting to go on another. We do plan on going on a shorter cruise on a smaller ship and hopefully that will reduce the amount of crowding and sea sickness.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The process of embarkation was tremendously easy and much more stress free then I thought it would be.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room and the food they served were exquisite. Also guys burgers and the burrito joint by the pool were amazing. The buffet however was not up to par. I expected more from a cruise line but honestly Ryan’s buffet is better.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
One board activities seem to be many upon arrival on the ship. However the cruise was so crowded I was only able to enter into a whirlpool for about 20 minutes on a port day while no one else was on the ship. During other times there were so many people in the pool that all they were doing was standing there. Also it was hard to get around with that many people.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I was only able to go to one comedy show but it was amazing.

Children's Programs

I do not yet have children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the waiters waitresses room steward’s and other ship personnel were very accommodating nice and just a joy to be around. They remembered our names and really seemed like they were trying to get to know us and not just there to do us a favor while we’re on the ship.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
As far as the layout and design I think that leaves much to be desired. Also there were many times were dishes were left on the floor and random hallways and it seemed like it took a while for them to be picked up. Other than that the ship is old and it was noticeable a good use of some remodeling.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Overall our cabin was very comfortable and the size was great for the amount of time we were there. The amount of storage available was wonderful. It was very clean and was very well-maintained however it was definitely noticeable that it had some age on it. Only other comment is that the showerhead was continuously leaking.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We left out of New Orleans and that is where I am from it was very easy to find and easy to access and very easy to find parking accommodations however they are expensive.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
I have been to Cozumel one time before and yet again it did not disappoint. Just the view alone is enough to leave one satisfied. The shopping experience was peaceful and not overbearing. We were also able to find some amazing food and drink.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

1 out of 5
This support should not be a port of call for a cruise line any cruise line for that matter. The first site we saw out of our window was a shipping zone with creams and shipping containers. Nothing really good to look at it looks like a Third World country and everyone there and the shopping center was begging us constantly to come in to their shops it was a very uninviting uncomfortable experience.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Disembarkation Was OK however the only problem I had was with other people and not with the cruise line. Some people just don’t know how to listen to plain instruction.
