Review summary

Cruise was fun. Most awesome part was that my uncles surprised us and came along with us. We had no idea they would be coming. They were able to book a cancellation about 3 weeks before departing. Super fun!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It wasn’t unpleasant. There was a lot of people boarding but the Port of New Orleans did a good job of getting everyone on the ship in a timely manner.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room was nice and in good working order. The specialty restaurants such as Guy’s Burger Place were good but the buffet could have been better

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The pool was okay and could have been a lot bigger plus it definitely needed an upgrade. This is an older ship

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers did a great job and the shows were super fun. Each night was a different show and there was even a magic show. Really cool.

Children's Programs

Child didn’t want to participate

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were ALL very professional and did an outstanding job. They had a lot of people to tend to so they stayed busy and busted their tails.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was clean but badly outdated. It definitely needs a complete over haul. Many lightbulbs on chandeliers were not in working order. It would have been pretty had it worked.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Cabin stayed hot the entire time and we could not adjust any thermostat because there wasn’t one to adjust. We were supposed to be booked into the cabin at the very back with the wrap around balcony but were booked into the one right next to it instead which was a complete disappointment. It would have been fine had our cabin not been a boiler room.

Ship tip

Please know this ship is very rocky. When you get out into open ocean you can tell you are on the water. It took us 9 hours to sail down the Mississippi River and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Great experience. Very easy gettting off the ship and very fast getting to our car. We were off the ship and headed home within about 20-25 minutes
