Review summary

Overall, my daughters and I had a very nice time. Our steward, Wayan was fantastic!! He went out of his way to accommodate us and get to know us. A few things I did not care for was the trip to Progresso. My daughter bought a necklace from one of the merchants and was charged $30 more on her card than the agreed on price. I really don't see why they would stop in Progresso. Also my other daughter had very few vegetarian options. All her meals consisted of a side dish or two. Even the stir fry station would not just make her a vegetarian dish, they said the meat is already in it and they cant take it out even though we watched them prepare everything separate. Very disappointing for her.Again, everything else was really nice and we really enjoyed the shows and comedians!

I would NEVER use a credit card at a port. Too many times, fraudulent charges suddenly appear after using it. Sorry about food issues. From my experience, we have gone to the dining room between meal times and have spoken to the maitre D about needs. They WILL accommodate special requests if they can, and yes, they can do vegan dishes. Progreso is only a port due to the proximity to Chichen Itza, where 1.7 million tourists go to visit annually.

Thats not good. We were on Carnival Legend in March. They went out n of their way to accommodate my daughters diet. She is Vegan. She chose the day before off the menu and they specially cooked it for her without animal products for the next night. This cruise was out of Australia though.
