Review summary

Ship was old (1999) and you could see it. Refurbishment in March is certainly needed. Food OK but photographers 15, blocking the only walkway from front to back of ship (deck 5) a nuisance. In staterooms hairdryers had a capacaty 600W that should have been changed to about 2000W years back if ladies intend to get their hair dried in less for the elegant evenings where the at least 20% should have been directed to the Lido dining by the Head Waiters at the dining room entrance. Shows fully OK, it is not too much just talk-show where the guests are the actors.

I just called Carnival they said the Triumph was not going into dry dock in March it's not even scheduled this year and that it would sail out of New Orleans on April 4 and the Liberty would sail out of Galveston on April 4

we normally cruise either March or April and were originally scheduled on Magic out of Galveston on April 23 when my Carnival event planner called and said it would be dry docked earlier than planned so the cruise was cancelled. I got full refund and 30% off next cruise. but she suggested not cruising in March or April this year cause both boats schedules were gonna be crazy. so we are leaving in 16 days, before the madness

I called and talked to carnival because I have a cruise coming up on April 4 out of New Orleans and I was told the triumph was going into dry dock on March 21 and that the Liberty would be taking its place until it comes out of dry dock and that they should start sending out emails so letting everyone know that is scheduled to cruise on the triumph

You can not bring anything bottled .. Unopened cans and sealed cartons are okay to bring on. 12 pack of water is only $2.99 and its delivered to your stateroom. We took on can drinks and a box of caprisun for our son. I also took water flavor packets to add to the bottle watered. We actually found ourselves drinking the free lemonade very often on the ship it was very good.

I've seen a couple of people mention refurbishment now, but when I looked at carnivals list of upcoming refurbishment, triumph is not on there

nanny you can't bring water any more and you either check bags and they are delivered to your room. no luggage carts

both are being taken out of the cycle early for major referb before the move. I was scheduled on Magic in April to get one last ride, when they cancelled the trip and gave us big refund. Said they decided to spend extra time on both to get them ready to leave Galveston
