Review summary

To start everything that showed that was on the Triumph, was not on there. NOT even close. The food was terrible. Our luggage got lost and we paid for Faster to Fun and it still got lost. It took 30 min to even get a drink. The bartenders lost our sail and sign card and we had to get new ones. We were late getting to Cozumel by 3 hrs. We were so late that our onshore excursion was cancelled. It wasnt worth what we paid.

I would gladly give up everything if it would mean someone's life was saved. God bless the sick passenger hope they are doing well !!!

I found online where a 43 yr old female passenger had a heart attack at 3:40 am and had to be heliported off this ship. They had to fly 11 hours to meet the ship and a ship nurse flew with the passenger to a hospital in Texas. I think that might supersede a delayed arrival to port, canceled excursion and missing your dinner time for a night. This is why you also buy travel insurance.

What date was this cruise? We just ended our 5 night cruise and didn't experience any of this..

And did they find your luggage? Because I know airlines have misplaced my bags more often than cruise ships! Did you properly place your luggage tags??

So in your review you said cancelled excursion, but below it says pushed back? I can't believe a few hours in a port and eating a little late were more important than a human life!!! People don't get flown off of a cruise ship for things as a stubbed toe, it must have been a horrific emergency! Have compassion for human life man! Poor soul and family must have been terrified!

How unfortunate that so many things went wrong on your very first cruise.  I know that your next cruise will be a better one for you.

I have to be honest I am shocked at the number of people who think the cruise is about them only.

@McCurdy2000....did the passenger that was injured have to be removed by helicopter  from the ship (happened to us in April)? If so, that's the reason for the delay. Although issues like a sick or injured passenger do occur, they are not on every cruise. You need to remember you are on a ship confined to a "space". Just imagine if someone in your neighborhood that was ill needed to be removed by helicopter and they closed all the roads. Same idea here. You were inconvenienced by the ill neighbor but your life went on as your cruise did. Just be thankful it wasn't you that was ill and did get to enjoy the rest of the cruise. The ill passenger didn't! Don't have lower expectations for your next cruise or going back to Cozumel. Cozumel is one of our favorite ports. It is unfortunate this happened but cruises are great. We wouldn't have done 12 if we didn't feel this way and with your next cruise, you will too!! Bon Voyage ;)

Accidents happen and had you been the one involved in the accident you would be expecting everyone to be patient. You are dealing with people who make mistakes sorry it happened but life is what you make it

What problem with a guest prevented the engines from working? Did you leave late from progreso? Confused

LuxurySeries    9 years ago

That's terrible.

We're did arrive in Cozumel actually 4 hours later than promised. There was an accident with a guest on the boat, but still carnival could have offered something I return for the only having 5 hours at port. We missed our seated dinner since our excursion was pushed back. The lines for food were enormous on the ship and food mediocre at best. Will lower hopes if we ever go back.

Thank you for posting your review but agree w/CrusinTim that it lacks specificity so that we can understand what went sideways for you. Hope things go better next time regardless.

CrusinTim    9 years ago

Can you elaborate more? What did the Carnival website show that isn't on the Triumph? Were you given a reason for your 3 hour late arrival into Cozumel?
