Review summary

About Carnival Triumph leaving from Galveston, Progreso, Cozumel, on Thanksgiving week. I am a 43 yrs old Latin mother of two teenagers who lives in the US. Have a wide exposure to 5 stars and up traveling (mostly in the Caribbean). Third time cruiser. Our party was: myself, my two teen girls (15 & 17) and an other 15 yrs old girl (friend). Had a very very very good time, LITTLE time to sleep due to sooooo much to do in the ship. A lot of fun meeting my expectations and theirs. Ship is not brand new but it is in excellent condition. Crew is 100% friendly. Embarkation and debarkation process was smooth at ll ports. Formal dining is awesome. Buffet options are ok. The chocolate buffet was disappointing compared to the midnight one in the Carnival Conquest :( (not big deal). The three girls and me decided to start a "cruise saving account" to repeat it next year :)

For an oceanview stateroom it was a great size (pick handicap if available, it is larger)

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We took a taxi (very safe and they do not rip off) to Playa Mia Beach Club or Playa Paradise Beach Club (they are next to each other) You pay $2 per person to use beach chairs and umbrellas, very nice pool, bathrooms. Then you order from the bar if you want. They also offer all inclusive for about $16 per person.
Don't Miss: Beaches

Progreso (Merida), Mexico
