Review summary

The Triumph is fun from the moment you embark. The ship is spacious and most of the rooms are as well. It is, so far, my favorite ship on Carnival Cruiseline.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

The shopping is great in Cozumel. Del Sol is a fun place to stop in to find cool things to take home that change color when you're out in the sun. Take a cab and ask the locals for suggestions on what beaches are the best. Most will give you great advice. Mr Sancho's is an all inclusive public beach. $2 to get in and unlimited food and drinks for a $50 wristband, which also gives you access to a private swim up bar and pool, complete with private cabanas and beautiful chaise lounge chairs with umbrellas for those who don't want full sun. Love this place!!
Don't Miss: Mr Sancho's Beach Club, a favorite of the locals.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
The only way to enjoy Progreso is at Mr Sol's Bar right at the port. Otherwise, it's not worth getting off the ship. Mr Sol's is a little bitty bar with a fun staff and a great, safe place to have a party while the family shops. Don't waste your time going into the city. The only reason to go out is to see the Mayan Ruins...one of the 7 wonders of the world.
Don't Miss: Mr Sol's Bar

Pros: the size of the ship and the crew

Cons: the food
