Carnival Triumph

5 Night Western Caribbean (New Orleans Roundtrip)

Sail date: August 28, 2010

Ship: Carnival Triumph

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 14 years ago

Review summary

Food was excellent, the shows were top of the line, ship clean and crew extremely courteous. Like anytime dining. Do not like the down comforters that are on all beds on all ships. Air conditioning on Triumph was not completely satisfactory. The control was in the ceiling. Also would like a deck that spans the entire ship making it possible to see out in all direction well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Nighly shows as good as any --and I've been on many cruises. The activities were the usual, nothing outstanding.

Service and Staff

Everyone spoke, some even remembering names

Cabin / Stateroom

There is no hand lotion but at the price, I can bring my own. Air conditioning cannot be controled consistently. Stateroom well arranged and lots of storage.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Don't get off the ship unless you are taking a tour to the ruins. The ruins are worth seeing but nothing else.
Don't Miss: nothing if you have already been to the ruins

Cozumel, Mexico

Pros: Nightly shows and food

Cons: No alternative restaurant
