Overall it was a great cruise, yes disappointed that we did not go to Bermuda, but I don’t think following a Hurricane in the Atlantic is a good idea since our port was in Bermuda with overnight stay. Carnivals 25% off a future cruise was nice, but I think that could have done better. We ended up going to Princess Cay and Nassau

We love cruising, but was bummed that we didn’t get to go to Bermuda. We have been to Nassau way too many times. It is our least favorite port. Princess Cays was okay, but my husband does not like laying out, so we just walked around on the sidewalks. You could not walk on the beach because of the rocks. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. Our cruise director was good. We got to meet the captain and go on the bridge, which was amazing. All the staff on the Sunshine is super nice. Loved the positive atmosphere.

Knowing Carnival is rated among the bottom of all cruise lines, we booked this cruise anyway because it was going to Bermuda at a time convenient to us and our traveling companions. While we realize this cruise was diverted due to weather, going to the Bahamas was not what we had paid for. The cruise itself was less than our lowered expectations and the first one where we looked forward to disembarkation. Carnival did offer all passengers a 25% discount on a future Carnival cruise with 2 years. Needless to say, we won't be using it.

The Port of Charleston embarkation and debarkation processes were great. The Sunshine was generally clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are too few restaurants, lounges and public spaces for the number of passengers. The food quality was average and the food variety was disappointing. Liquid Lounge shows were very good. The bands, musicians and comedians became somewhat repetitive after a few nights (some cruise lines pickup new entertainers at port-of-calls keeping the entertainment fresh).

I have never sailed with Carnival before and was a little worried how things were going to end up being. The ship is newly remodeled and was beautiful. We stayed in a Suite and it was amazing! The food in Sunrise Dining, Guy’s Burgers, Sunset Dining and the Steakhouse was very good. Was not that pleased in the Lido Deck buffet. The crew was very friendly, helpful and was always doing something. There were a lot of entertainment (Bingo, games, shows, and etc) on the ship. The entire cruise was wonderful ! We were very disappointed in not finding out til the night before , we would not be going to Bermuda due to Hurricane Jerry. I do feel like since the Bermuda Cruise was more expensive, they should have done more than given us a 25% off our next cruise . Very appreciative of that and the fact they did not cancel the whole cruise. Thank you to the Captain for keeping us safe and for a get cruise.

Wish the weather would have played nice as Nassau is not one of my favorite ports and Bermuda was prize.but we did make the best of it and still had a really nice vacation.

We were diverted to Nassau of which we were at 4 other cruises. We took an excursion to Atlantis (1st time) that we totally enjoyed and recommend!

Enjoyed our 8 day cruise. Need more cruises out of Charleston, please consider a Jamaican Cruise.

This was our first cruise throughly enjoyed! All the research I did it still was nothing like experiencing. The smells, the sounds, just everything. My advice is to take it all in. Until next time cruisers ☺️

Overall loved the ports. Wished there would have been more affordable prices on jewelry and watches on the ship.

Great time. Went through some rough seas at the end but no worries. The family enjoyed another wonderful trip.

There were 14 of us travelling together and a GREAT time was had by all, except the horror in St. Maarten. Scary lesson learned!!!! Never book excursions from the pushy people on the side of the street. All in All, Great Memories. One of our favorites....Thank You Carnival for your Military Appreciation! First Class All the Way!!

We wanted to go to Puerto Rico, so this cruise was perfect for us! There was some hurricanes around the areas we went, but we were fortunate to only experience turbulent waves on our at Sea days, the islands were sunny and fun!!

Overall it was a wonderful experience! Food was great and the shows were fanulous

For a first cruise, nothing to compare to, it was great! Was very rocky the last few days with surrounding storms, but never got sick. You can definitely feel movement even in calm waters. I can’t wait to book my next cruise on a different ship! My tiny complaints wouldn’t keep me from sailing on SunShine after she is an older ship!

Carnival really is the “fun ship”. We have already booked another cruise for 10 days and 5 ports.

Wasn't a fan of this ship! The layout was terrible, the crew wasn't that friendly, and the shows were less than average. Maybe would have enjoyed myself more if I went with someone fun and not so boring! But it was still a cruise so I made the best of it!🍹

Enjoyed this adventure very much. We like Carnival VERY much. We are scheduled back on the Sunshine in December to the Southern Caribbean.
