Review summary

My husband & I had a great time on the Sunshine! The ship was fantastic. The cruise director Leon is probably my favorite now (I’ve been on 6 Carnival cruises). He was so fun. The food was great! The only thing that disappointed me was the Playlist group — they sang but barely danced. It wasn’t as big of a production as in the past. Oh well! We still enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Cabin / Stateroom

This interior room is in a fantastic location! It’s small, like most interiors, but that was okay for the 2 of us (it could have slept 4 which would have been tight, but doable). We loved the convenience to the atrium elevators & to the Lido food.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau is what you make it. It’s definitely not my favorite port-of-call, but I will still always get off the ship & at least go to the beach! We went to Cabbage Beach, then went back to the ship to shower before walking to the Queen’s Staircase & Fort Fincastle. Don’t be afraid to haggle with the locals, especially at the beach. $15/beach chair, I offered $20 for 2, they agreed! $5/person each way for a taxi (plus a small tip).

What’s not to love about this port-of-call? It was beautiful & relaxing. We stayed on the island as long as possible & loved every second.
