Review summary

Overall I think it was a wonderful experience for me and my mother. I think the ship has a hotel like vibe which was nice but unexpected. The spa was wonderful and being able to have a massage was a treat. We met a lot of great people on the cruise and it was very enjoyable.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We were delayed due to a medical emergency in the prior sailing. It was a complete madhouse at the Charleston port because 3200 people were trying to get on at the same time, but in time everyone was processed rather quickly and everyone was nice. I think that under the circumstances it was handled well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the dining room was very good. Service was excellent. The lido was not the best and the choices were limited (But I still ate it 😂)

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were fabulous. Very talented performers and the liquid lounge was great. Comedy shows were wonderful.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was wonderful. He always greeted us by name and was more than accommodating. The waiters, bartenders and housekeeping always were friendly and helpful. When I looked confused or lost they would notice, approach me and guide me in the right direction.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ships layout was confusing at times. I had trouble knowing where I was due to the lack of windows and things looking alike. I was starting to get the hang of it by the last day. The boat does show some signs of wear and tear but not a dealbreaker.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony was wonderful. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of storage. The remote worked well. Fridge was cold. Bathroom was nice. No odors or funky stuff.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We booked an excursion to blue Lagoon. The excursion consisted of a quick boat ride to Blue lagoon island. The island was beautiful the service was wonderful. The water was cool and refreshing. It was a little rocky, but I had brought my water shoes so it was fine. Doing the VIP we got to the front of the line we had access to the entire island. I recommend booking an excursion in Nassau.

Charleston, South Carolina

Due to the delay on Saturday we spent the day exploring Charleston. It was very nice, beautiful weather and nice people. We did a carriage ride which was informative and enjoyable. We ate at Hyman’s seafood which was delicious.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Half moon Is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. This is my second time there and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. We were served lunch which was good. The best part is being in the water and swimming and relaxing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was very smooth. We got off the ship and the line never stopped moving. Once we got through customs (which was a breeze) our luggage was placed in a bus and we were shuttled to the parking lot. Everyone was nice and courteous.
