Embarkation has changed a little since the last time we left out of Charleston, but it is still the smoothest quick moving we have done. We parked around 11 and having our first drink before noon.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We only ate in the MDR for dinner twice, food was not as good as we had hoped. The sea day brunch in the main dining is a MUST. The filet and hashbrowns were amazing. Guys Burgers was wonderful and my husband is a huge burger person and he loved them. I think the kids ate at least one plate of fries a day from there. Blue iguana was also delicious, we wish we would have tried them earlier in the week. Although the line is line for the wok at JiJis during lunch it is well worth the wait. The buffet was decent and where we at most of our dinners. The apple turnovers at breakfast were delicious. Pizza as always was amazing, although it was difficult to communicate with the staff working there.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was plenty for the kids to do and they had a blast. This boat is a bit overcrowded and made it difficult at times to get around. The pool was packed full on a few occasions but the kids didn’t care they still enjoyed it. They loved the ropes course and water slides.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We don’t go to a lot of the shows, but the few we did attend were good.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
We have 4 kids, two are in the teens room and two not. The older two enjoyed the teens room and found plenty to do there. Our 9 and 11 year old went to try and do a few things in their room and were not allowed as the staff was catering to the younger children there. So they just hung out around the boat or in the arcade. I think the age groups could use some adjusting.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone we came in contact with was accommodating and friendly. Our room steward was incredible, the best we have had.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was clean I have no complaints. The layout seams a bit cramped and the amount of people on the boat was overwhelming. It didn’t seem like there was enough room for everyone onboard. We did not let this take away from our experience though and we had an amazing time.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabins were clean and both had a fridge. The balcony door opened to connect to the kids. Which we enjoyed as we were able to come and go out of both rooms. We were under the bridge and felt quite a bit of movement. It doesn’t bother me but a few of our kids got a little sicker than they normally do.
Ship tip
A cruise is what you make it. Let the little things go and enjoy yourself. A bad day at sea is better than a bad day at work!
We did not get off the boat this time in Nassau the girls wanted to stay on and take advantage of the pool being less crowded. And we were ok with that because we have been to Nassau several times.
