Review summary

My 15 y/o son had a medical emergency while on the Carnival Sunshine and the Carnival staff did nothing to assist him!! He fainted after getting out of the hot tub and hit his head on the pool deck. It was during movie night and a lot of people were around but no one came to help!! A fellow passenger noticed my son lyjng on the ground and immediately came to help! He repeatedly called for medical assistance and still no one came!! After my son was brought to the room I immediately called the nurse and she came to evaluate him. The on call doctor declined to see him even though he was unconscious and hit his head!! Thank God my son is ok but this could have been so much worse!! I do not trust Carnival and will not be sailing with them again!!

Sorry about your son fainting, and I'm glad he's ok, but the rules for the hot tubs are CLEARLY POSTED...no one under 18 is allowed to use them for exactly this reason. It's not Safe for kids to be in them!

Sorry to hear about your son and do hope he is ok. No excuse on their part for lack of assistance but there is a reason it is 18 plus for the hot tubs. Blame should start there for them even allowing him in it.

Something like that happened at breakfast to a man sitting next to us. He fell out of his chair, hit his head and I had to SEARCH for a crew member. They didn't even ask his name when they got to him. Fellow cruisers picked him up off the floor.
