Review summary

Not the best, nor the worst. Think we should have gotten more back than port fees for missing a port. May be my last cruise on this line. Otherwise, not a bad trip.

Another person looking for free money. If you read your cruise contract before you sail you would know how reimbursements work. The Sunshine is a fine ship. When Carnival (or any other cruise line) misses a port, it is for your safety buddy.

I went on my first cruise ever on Aug 12-20 I read over everything. I even kept a binder with everything I mean everything. so I know they only need to give back port fees but arriving late to ports and not being able to use your excursion...

I understand this. I also understand that I can choose to cruise on another line. This was my seventh cruise on Carnival and the quality has d gone down.

They don't OWE you anything other than port fees if you miss a port. Clearly stated in the cruise contract which no one reads. Anything you get beyond that is not OWED to you.

I'm not blaming the ship I'm glad they were about safety. but they need to also think about guest and all the money they spend. I'm already planning our next cruise

Why blame the ship/cruise line for weather issues? What if they try go dock and an accident happends?

Nak023    7 years ago

that happened to us last week. we were not able to go to San jaun and then we were late getting into our last port. we ate also not going back on sunshine

They will only refund the port charges if a port is missed. And i have heard quite a few complaints about that ship. I would have mentioned it to the steward and guest services.

The first problem was that we skipped Puerto Rico because of a storm, and they only refunded port fees. They should have refunded more. The second was the fungus growing around the base of the shower.

If it was a private (owned by cruiseline) there would be no port fee.
