Review summary

Was my first cruise and leaving from NY is just too much time on boat. The time at ports is short. The activities on boat were insufficient for the amount of people on board. Need better variety. With more things for teens.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It's NY so nothing is easy here. Expect that it will take a long time to board. But process was easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in the main dining room was very good. We did my time dining and process was easy with little wait. The buffet left little to be desired but there was always variety.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pool was always crowded. Couldn't get near the adult only serenity area due to crowds many activities were overcrowded. I played a lot of Bingo for lack of other things to do. The games on deck were broken or missing pieces. My daughter enjoyed the kids club activities. My kids love karaoke but was often scheduled during dinner time. By the time we would get there, they said they the schedule was full. Figured they could find someway to accommodate.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows I did see were very good and produced well.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My daughter enjoyed the activities in kids club. The pickup process for lunch was a bit hectic but overall was good to keep the younger ones entertained. My teenager did not enjoy the club for his age group. But teens are so picky that I wasn't surprised.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone on board from waiters to cleaning staff to fun squad to cruise director were friendly and professional. They worked hard to make activities run smoothly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The staff did their best but with so many people onboard it's hard to keep tables and chairs clean all the time.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Worst part of cruise. The room had holes in curtain, stains on ceiling, broken shelves. There was nothing to compliment with the room. Poor design of upper bunk that encroacher over master bed. Banged my head on multiple occasions.

Ship tip

Arrive early to activities and be prepared to miss a sit down dinner in dining room on several nights since so many activities take place at that time.

Without having an excersion planned there was little to do in walking distance except shopping.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Beautiful. Would love to go back

Grand Turk Island

Did not like the rocky beaches. Horses and donkeys roam the streets. Was glad to leave.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Crazy. Chaotic. Everyone trying to get down stairs at same time. No order.
