Review summary

Enjoyed the cruise and appreciated that I could drive to and from the ship.   Older ship but clean and somewhat updated.    Friendly staff .

Only part i wasn't happy about was Nassau on Sunday.  We had been in this port in the past so decided not to do any excursions but just walk around the shops.   Because it was Sunday most shops were closed or if opened closed early 4:00 PM .    Made the day on shore somewhat a waste of time.

Much smaller then I have had in the past. Balcony was almost as big as the room. Liked being on the Aft of the ship.

Ship tip

JJ's was a nice place to have dinner the first night, could have eaten there more often. If you nave never done a Chief's table I would encourage you to do so. It's not inexpensive but well worth the money. We have done several over the years and I have to say this was one of the best.

It's just an afterthought typed in as a tip. You just about miss it. I had to go back & look hard for it. Lol. Glad I'm not the only one

Was wondering the same thing deniseg

What? Am I missing something? Where in the review does it say about the chefs table? LOL

chvygrl10    8 years ago

This seemed to be a review of the cruise itself. Not just the chef's table. She did mention as a tip so I agree with you that it deserves comments too. It does seem pretty expensive at $75 so I totally agree with you on that one. I'd skip it & have a burrito & Blue Iguana. LOL.

Wait a second...I thought this was mostly about Chef's Table. Inexpensive? HARDLY when they charge $75.00 PER PERSON for a meal. It's the most expensive I've ever SEEN on a cruise ship. Okay, it's true that they throw in a champagne reception, three amazing appetizers, all the cocktails you can stomach, a tour of the galley (that's the kitchen), a custom menu of five courses made for you and 14 others, hosted by the executive chef, entertainment by a musician or magician, an amazing dessert NOT offered to anyone else and after-drinks complimentary. From start to finish it's about three hours to finish. It's like a shore excursion only on the ship.

We will be sailing Sunshine for the first time next year.

Lol kenbassiii. Have to be careful or they might stab you with a fork or those tongs if you get too close.

The only complaint I had was getting off the ship and the buffet buzzards attacking anyone who stood between them and their next waist size.

Btw, gellmore it's chvygrl10 not chenygrl10. Oh that's right. Thi was the post I was doing my test on & you can't edit reviews. If I jump on the bandwagon you would see me on a lot more than the 2 or 3 I've posted on. It seems reviews are all you stalk. Good day & good riddance

Gellmore you better stop harassing me. I was doing a test to see when you could & couldn't delete a comment. I told you in the other thread if you would've actually read it you would've seen that I said we had running jokes about things & were laughing but apparently you don't get sarcasm. Leave me alone. Do not mention me anymore. I am tired of you talking about me.

Agreed, I look forward to being on the sunshine again. Great ship.

fia4tea 2 stars and only one complaint. That is not fair!! chenygrl10 must be a cruise critic girl. She jumps on the bandwagon when anyone says anything negative. The Sunshine is a great upgrade from the Destiny. If you look for things to complain about you will find them. A cruise is what you make of it!!😎😎😎

The Sunshine doesn't seem like it was only 3 years ago they spent $155 million in refurbishments. It was nice in the public areas but overcrowded. One woman had said her 2 sons cabin had leaks coming down the walls on deck 8. We didn't have that but we had leaks in the hallways. Not sure where they were coming from but they had industrial dryers out moving them around the whole 10 day cruise. The carpet was soaked but only on the sides. Thankfully not around our cabin. It seemed more toward the very front & very back.

I was on the sunshine 2 cruises back (on number 6-7?) and it was one of my favorite ships.

So you gave it 2 stars?
