Review summary

Our cruise was very disapponting . This was our first Carnival Cruise however our 10th overall cruise . We will never cruise carnival again. In comparison to Celebrity, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, Carnival is the bottom of the barrel. No live music at the pool, very little nightly entertainment, same singers and dancers every night in the showroom, Average food, small buffets, but excellent service from the wait staff and cabin attendants. The ship was old and worn, not spotlessly clean, very hard to get around no flow to decks had to go up or down to get across on many levels, very small common areas, such as pool, lobby, theatre. We think the ship should be dry docked, It is not worthy to continue to sail. Many people told us don't judge Carnival by this ship , if that's the case why is it still sailing ??? And oh by the way the cruise was not inexpensive no cheaper that any other cruise line for similar itinerary.Sorry but we will never cruise Carnival again.

Food was on the low side of average, not much variety small buffet at all meals however the made to order omelettes were good and the desserts at dinner were good,not much else was worth mentioning

lack of it .this was the first cruise we have ever been on that did not have a live band at the pool or music as we were pulling out of every port no activity staff to speak of very little entertainment

service was basically good except really slow bar service because there was not enough help, bartenders and lounge servers were extremely busy had to wait about 30 minutes to get served

very hard to get around did not flow well no deck to walk around entire ship extremely small pool deck and never enough seats had to get up at 530 am to get a chair in the sun very disappointing not dirty but far from spotless..ship was old we think it should be put in dry dock it's life should be over

cabin was typical inside cabin good size shower cabin attendats were excellent

i would not recommend anything about this ship as a matter of fact this was our first Carnival cruise and our last very disappointed

Been on 4 carnival and one RC. RC will never see me again unless it's free. Horrible compared to Carnival

I love the sunshine true it might not be as high class as others but I priced the closest cruise I am taking to the oasis class and saved $1800.00. Now to some people this is nothing but that's money I can spend another way to do the same cruise.

She is going in dry dock 5/8-21. goccl.com We're going to board Sunshine for Halloween next year to the Bahamas yeaaay! Despite poopie reviews, we're both excited to be going! Lol so many baaad reviews in here re: Conquest, we got off her 2/14 & had an amazing time, so I'm sure that Sunshine will be just as awesome.

We have been on 20 carnival cruises, it's possible true they are not as high classed as other companies. We go for the fun and relaxing. As for putting it in dry dock, give me a break.

We have been on the Sunshine and going again in April. It's true they have eliminated some of the little things. We have not experienced the problems mentioned.

I just can't get past people's pettiness mace. We will be on the same cruise and I already know it will be an awesome vacation because that is what we are looking for. Cruises have lines, adjust your schedule. The ship will be fun to explore since it is set up differently, these are just a few ways to look at the same (problems) sutemp was complaining about without dissing the cruise for first time cruisers that read these forums.

I'm not understanding why other people get offended when a cruiser is negative about a ship or a certain cruise line. If sutemp6 didn't like the ship or carnival at all its there opinion so I thank you sutemp6 for the feed back and sorry it wasn't what you expected... I hope you have better luck on your next cruise on whatever cruise line you choose. People should not be neg. towards others

I have been on Carnival ships a few times and have found the experience to be going down hill with each cruise I took. Do not get me wrong, many peaple still love Carnival and you can snag some good deals with them but they would not be my first choice at this point in my life. I have found Holland America to be better suited to my needs. I think a person needs to try several different cruise lines to find the one that is the best fit with expectations. I have also noticed over the years that within a cruise line the experience will varying between ships in the same cruise line.

Been on Norwegian and RC and much prefer Carnival. I keep trying different lines, but always come back to Carnival.

Wow, the exact opposite of what I have experienced. I have always enjoyed my Carnival cruise experience as well as cruise on RC. Sometimes it is the cruisers attitude that makes the difference.
