Skip the Sunshine

Sail Date: January 10, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The Sunshine's modernization is  awesome for kids. Regarding our room, the Liberty put this room to shame. We had a sick passenger, which required a return to Nassau (our first port).  That screwed up the remainder of our cruise. Grand Turk (never got there), and we arrived in Puerto Rico so late that most excursions were canceled.  Every passenger I spoke with or overheard, preferred stopping at Grand Turk and skipping Puerto Rico. Nice flat screen TV, but reception was often unavailable.  Sorry, I can't recommend this ship.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
555 skip the fish (frozen), the steak was awesome.
Service and Staff
The room steward gave my wife the creeps, and I understood why. However, he did an okay job.
The comedian was so nasty, we were shocked (folks, we live in Las Vegas).
Children's Programs
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Never made it to Gand Turk and very late to PR.
Cabin / Stateroom
The Liberty was much better!
Port Canaveral, Florida
Getting from the bus to the ship took WAY TO LONG! Looked at the ship for 30 plus minutes prior to unloading!
Nassau, Bahamas
Good shopping deals.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Mini boat was nice.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Got here late.
Grand Turk Island
Never got here.

Find another ship.
