Review summary
Perhaps we have been spoiled by other cruise lines but this cruise was not what we had hoped for. Why nothing was necessarily bad it had the feeling that they were doing the minimum to get by. As a way of comparison it was like we had become accustomed to staying in Hiltons or Marriotts and were now staying at a Days Inn.
While the evening meal was good the food at other meals was only adequate. It was a surprise to have the Lido buffet close while we were considering choices; they literally pulled the blind down in front of us and told us they were closed.
From other reviews we knew that the entertainment would not be good and this was certainly the case.
The cruise was selected primarily for its itinerary and we want to try Carnival. Now that we have done this it is unlikely we will return.
