We’re big fans of the aft pools on this class of ship, so we hung out there the most whenever we could get a chair with shade from the overhang of the above deck. So busy though, very hard to find a chair most days. We were on a Players Club Getaway and I took a star off because the events were pretty lackluster, nobody seemed to care which was a bummer because I was excited to see what they were going to offer.

Cabin / Stateroom

My god avoid this room like the plague. It was the loudest room I’ve ever stayed in. I knew it was below the galley when I booked, but after 23 sailings of never having a bad room, I thought “how bad could it really be”. The noise kept us up all hours of the day and night. I can only describe the noise as “metal on metal banging” like when a toddler gets ahold of some pots and pans and drums on them? 8:30am one day, there was this awful noise that sounded like they were drilling into our ceiling and it went on for hours. We didn’t complain or ask to move because we did choose this room ourselves knowing it was below the galley so it was no one’s fault but our own, but my god. If it’s the bad, I don’t know why they even offer that room. I will admit, the actual location in the hallway was perfect, right in between midship and aft elevators which was super convenient for us to get to the casino, our dining room, and the aft pool.

Ship tip

Anytime dining is in the aft restaurant, not midship like some other ships in this class in case that changes your room location decision.

Showed up to the platinum disembarkation lounge 20 minutes early according to the paperwork in our room, and when we asked the staff to make sure we were in the right place, she said “oh they’re already gone, but you can go now” and shuffled us into a pretty big mess. Still giving three stars though because it went pretty fast from there. The new facial recognition makes the process a lot smoother.
