Review summary

If I had known, we would be missing our last two ports (and would be spending the days at sea), I would have got off the ship in Canada and found my way home. My health is most important to me and spending 36 hours sick in bed was not my decision - it was made by the cruiseline. I saw people with their suitcases leaving our ship in Canada, didn't know then, they were making a great decision.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining rooms were crowded with people were just sitting drinking their morning coffee or playing cards. The dining tables should be for people looking to sit and eat a meal. Food could have been better...got tired of eating just cakes and dry cookies for dessert.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Mini golf and watching entertainment was fun. Rope course was too windy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent cruise director named Chris Williams

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters and room steward were great to talk to and they learned everyone's name

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Crew were always cleaning

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
No problems, good size for two people and kept very clean

Ship tip

Watch out for storms and if you are told of pending storms get off the ship and fly home. Better to miss half of the cruise than to be stuck on a ship sick in bed for 36 hours.

Ports of call

Brooklyn, New York

5 out of 5
Great port and found it easy to get to by subway and ferry

Halifax, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
Not much to see or do here in my opinion.

Saint John, New Brunswick

4 out of 5
Nice downtown to walk to and do some shopping

Portland, Maine Did not visit port

Storm at sea - so port closed and would not let us dock - Spent the day SICK

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

Storm at sea - so port closed and would not let us dock - Spent the day SICK

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No troubles, disembarkment went smoothly - off in 30 minutes

Cruising is obviously not for u bud...because taking a cruise esp later in the year esp during hurricane season...is always a risk of bad weather causing missed or late ports..it's not the cruise lines fault...

Sure glad I don’t have to interact with you every day. What a negative person you are. Geeeeeeez!!!

So if you were able to get off at those ports you wouldn't have gotten sea sick?? Sounds like you came unprepared.

Perhaps Cruising is not for You. Especially if you being seasick is blamed on them.. OMG

Next time bring or get from guest service, motion sickness pills. We had a rough cruise going to Bermuda, we followed Humberto. Hubby and I took our pills and we were fine. Lots of others were sick. I always bring them and if told the seas might be rough, I always take them.
