Review summary

Absolutely glad that we took a chance to book this 23 night cruise, was very relaxing, the variety of dinning options and the variety & quality of food was a nice surprise, we are looking forward to more Carnival Journey cruises in the future, the casino deals are an extra bonus

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There was a very high number of Platinum and Diamond cruisers, still got on faster than the regular line up. Port of Seattle was crazy busy looking after 2 Carnival ships, not as prepared as the Miami or Port Canaveral ports for volume

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Service and Staff

Great service from our MDR team of Ikadek, Zainuddin, Ahlmar. Room steward Pande was also fantastic. This group provided great service for 23 nights

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
First time on the Splendor, nice being on a smaller ship, ship was very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Interior room was good enough for the 2 of us, was a little noisy throughout the early morning with the kitchen above us, when we mentioned this to customer service they offered to move us and gave use free spa service to make up for it, this surprised us as we where very polite in asking why it was so noisy, customer service went out of there way to keep us happy

Ship tip

If you have an opportunity to take a much longer cruise, take it, smaller ships are quite relaxing without the hustle and demands from the lager ships, no issues at all in the middle of the Pacific Ocean

We took our time getting off after having a nice breakfast, was off the ship in 30 mins after having our zone called, this included getting a wheelchair in Sydney for my wife, Port of Sydney staff was extremely helpful in making sure everything was ok for us
