Review summary

The cruise itself was great. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about all the questions I had to ask.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was a first rate experience beginning to end.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Exactly what I expected. Plenty of food and a MOST FRIENDLY staff to serve it up.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I loved the water slide and the Liner Lido Deck. Food available 24 hours a day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All were great except for guitarist John Miller. I didn't care for his music.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Freddy, Louie, and Antilone, in the Gold Pearl dining room were excellent waiters and showed great team effort by helping each other when needed. Teresa at the lobby bar was FABOU! I gave her my roommate's recipe for his cocktail just once on Saturday afternoon, and she remembered it perfectly every time I ordered it from her.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The design and layout were excellent. HOWEVER, the pink interior was way too much for my liking. You should do the front half of the ship in one color and the rear half in a different color like NCL did on the late S.S. Norway.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was perfect for our needs and has plenty of room for a 3 wheeled electric scooter including the door width.

Ship tip

Take full advantage of the 24 hr food service onboard. It's to die for. ;-)

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

It was wonderful being so close to the historic Queen Mary Hotel. What a grand old lady of a ship she is.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
Didn't really do much except to grab a quick bite to eat.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Other passengers just DIDN'T UNDERSTAND what it meant when they were asked not to crowd the lobby area and make a clear path so that the disabled could get to their disembarkation station onboard. I was ready to blow my stack trying to get my elderly, DISABLED roommate to his disembarkation stationwhile trying not to lose my cool with my fellow passengers.
