Review summary

We had 3 couples in our party and overall, we had a great experience minus the few hiccups. We love Carnival and cannot wait to wait to return. Apparently there were a lot of children on spring break; so we hope to miss them next year.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was the easiest onboarding ever at Long Beach!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Lido Deck and Mongolian Wok were visited by my party; and it was just okay. We missed Guy's burgers. Mongolian Wok only served shrimp one day - PLEASE increase this. My family doesn't do beef or pork so many days we couldn't partake. The buffets were not as good this time either.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The pools and jacuzzis were overcrowded every day. We didn't get a chance to get in either of these at any time on the cruise.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The trivia games and comedy show were really good this trip!

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
We didn't bring our son and I am not sure what Carnival Kids/Carnival Teens did during this cruise;but there were SO many kids running wild the entire trip. Kids pressing every button on the elevator making it stop on every floor multiple times on this cruise. Kids running wild down the hallways all day and night; it was beyond ridiculous. There need to be more activities for the kids OR the parents must be held more responsible for their kids - especially after 8PM.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewards; our waiters, they were AMAZING!! Oliver was AWESOME (room steward). Mario was our waiter in the dining room; we love him. Everyone was very attentive.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation was not clear via the letter left in our room; we sat and waited a long time and never heard when the priority guests were to get off the ship. We ended up disembarking with the regular guests. The letters in the rooms need to be clearer and also, an announcement should be made over the speaker system for priority guests. That's the only issue I had with the disembarkation.

Have to agree with you about the behaviour of some kids. Not just on the splendour but other ships to I’ve only encountered the dreaded elevator button thing once before, they needs. Button to cancel out such a stupid thing to do. It made for a very awkward situation explaining to another passenger that a bunch of smart arse kids pressed every button
