Review summary

We had a wonderful time. Itā€™s a great ship with wonderful people making your vacation special.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest embarkation ever. The new terminal was just a delight and things moved very quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We didnā€™t go to get steak house (the only specialty restaurant on board) but we didnā€™t need it. The main dining room was great! The wait staff was exceptional and the food was very good. The buffet was very good also. Just expect to wait in line when you utilize this.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always something to do.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We only attended one of the productions and that was very good. My only complaint is the one spot they put the stage shows (5 mid ship) is right next to the casino. People are allowed to smoke there and I personally donā€™t like cigarette smoke so we skipped a lot of the groups we liked because of the location. Not sure what they could do to fix this.

Children's Programs

No children!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Edy was great. Cleaned our room twice a day and his towel animals were adorable. Are waiters inthe main dining room Michal, Margin and Rendra were absolutely the best. They had our drinks waiting for us every night and anticipated our every need. They also performed for us several times during the 14 day cruise. Iā€™m going to really miss them! Everyone one was extremely friendly always a smile and seemed happy to have you there.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There were people all over the ship cleaning every single day. I think the ship was beautiful. Itā€™s not as new as some of the others but itā€™s a wonderful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great room. Lots of space for storage. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Spent time on my balcony every day. Carnival rooms are the most spacious.

Ship tip

If your taking the Hawaiian cruise be prepared for some rough seas. Lots of people were surprised by this but since I had read previous reviews I was prepared and not shocked. Remember your preferred sea sick prevention.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Just embarked from here.

Kahului, Maui

4 out of 5
Usually spot to land but again I was prepared from reading other reviews. We didnā€™t do a planned excursion. We walked out to the street (about a 10 min walk) and call an Uber who took us to the aquarium. Then took another Uber to Laihana. Great little town. Lots of shops and restaurants.

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
Always something to do here. We were here two days. The first day was a shopping day šŸ‘. The second day we went to Pearl Harbor. Always a mixing experience.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii Did not visit port

Weather did not permit us to land.

Hilo, Hawaii

5 out of 5
This is the only port we took a planned excursion. We went to a black sand beach (beautiful), wine tasting, orchid farm and coffee plantation. Tour guide was very informative and we enjoyed it.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
Typical Mexican port. We shopped šŸ˜€.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Couldnā€™t have gone smoother. We were out of our state room by 8:30 and off the ship by 10. Easiest customs ever. Ask guestions and that was it. No more forms to fill out. At least for this cruise.
