Review summary

It was our first cruise and I had just had surgery, so I was recovering, wanted a beautiful Christmas without having to do anything. I was worried about long lines and crowds of people, but there were no lines at embarkation and minimal lines elsewhere in the areas that I was interested in. There were crowded spaces, but not too bad. The overall feeling of the cruise was festive and very happy, which was exactly what I was looking for. I loved every moment of the cruise. Have to say though, after a week I still have “I’m LEE, you’re cruise director” in my head... He was the best part of the cruise. How adorable is he?! I hope Carnival is paying him well because he’s awesome! He seemed to be everywhere and never sleeps...LOL.

I loved the violin ladies. The music was exactly what I wanted to hear. I didn’t use the pools, spas, or fitness centers because I was recovering from surgery, but I will next time.

Cajina, it was very nice and warm for most of the cruise. The cover was on for the last 2 days. When we arrived in Cabo and Puerta Vallerta, the temps were in the 80’s on Christmas Day...just beautiful!

Lee is certainly a great cruise director. He did that role when I cruised on the Carnival spirit in 2017. I wonder if he will be cruise director on the Splendor when it relocates to Australia later in 2019?

Lee Mason the cruise director is best we’ve had in all the 21 cruises we’ve had on Carnival.

Was it cold the whole time or only on the first day? Did they have the cover on the whole time?

It sounds like you had a great recuperation environment. Glad you had a good time. I say that all the time about cruise directors, when do they sleep?
