Review summary

We've had many enjoyable cruises on other cruise lines. Carnival was the most unorganized bunch of people we have experienced. They need to get friendly, helpful people at the front desk and also with Excursions. They were not helpful and acted very uncaring. When we were disembarking, asked for a wheelchair for my husband and never got one. He had to walk the entire distance while suffering from a heart condition and recovering from Chemo, radiation and surgery. They seem to have 'NO' system whatsoever. After asking for our flight times, and flight numbers, they were totally ignored when disembarking. We were just more cattle being unloaded and nearly missed our flight. If we didn't already have a Carnival cruise booked and paid-for in January, this would have been our last!

Our servers, June and Shimrie were excellent. They deserve a promotion. If it weren't for them, there would not be many good memories of this trip. The food was mostly very good. The lobster was a little overcooked, but good. The steaks were not always the best, but good. We felt that there were many 'recycles' on the menu, but overall, the food was good.

Total lack of organization from beginning to end. No one cares, no one listens. They act as if it's their first time experiencing disembarkation. Took 3-1/2 hours to get people off the ship. Then they totally disregarded information they specifically asked for upfront - Flight times & flight numbers. They did NOT prioritize those with early flights at all. Transport busses were slow and disorganized. Very bad experience and we have taken multiple cruises in the past. Staff at front desk were not very helpful when they could not find 5 of the 7 transfers we had paid for and were not confirmed. Promised a 24 hr call back with answers. It took 8 days.

That's unusual, those with flights to catch normally get off first. Make sure you call Carnival and let them know.

I understand if your husband isn't well. But Carnival and any other cruise line are not hospitals or nursing homes. Sometimes we have to be responsible for our own selves and take appropriate steps to ensure we look after ourselves properly. Blaming a Cruise line for not getting your flight is not fair. Whoever booked the flight is at fault. Always allow extra time for travel. I work in a train station. We are always told it's our fault they missed their train. Like really we don't control the weather, road conditions and just lack of planning to get there earlier! I also love Carnival and if you look at my profile you'll see I've sailed on all cruise lines and never ever would I book a flight getting there or leaving with a tight time allowance. That creates a blame game and too much stress!

Sorry you had such bad problems. What other cruise ships have you been on? WE HAVE BEEN ON 22 CARNIVAL AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.
