Review summary

I enjoyed the trip. I love sea days and this was time for me to read and relax. There was much to do in the way of activities. The entertainment was also good. This was a Journey Cruise and we enjoyed a Formal Captain's Cocktail Party; formal attire and picture with the Captain. I enjoy the dining room breakfasts as opposed to the buffet. The food is hot, because you are not looking for a place to sit! and served in the dining room. Had a great time

I love the grilled hamburgers. Do not like Guys Burgers so this was a good surprise. Will be on the ship next year to Singapore so I hope it is still there!!

Did not do an excursion. We got on the city bus, $2.00 for an all day senior pass! Rode to the end of the line along the North Shore, about 2 hours. At the end of the line we got on the bus back to town, along another route, and saw more of the town. We enjoyed ourselves because this was the third time being in Honolulu. The excursions were just to expensive for me.

This was a tender port and we couldn't go ashore because the waves were to high. They were to get higher during the day and captain did want to risk it. NO problem, safety first.

Hilo, Hawaii

Got on the Hoppa On Hoppa Off bus tour. Small town, after walking around and visiting shops (it was Sunday morning and most didn't open until 10:00) got the bus back to the ship. We then got on the provided shuttle to Walmart! Bought souvenirs and came back to the ship. Enjoyed ourselves.

Short stay but we got on the shuttle and walked around downtown for a couple of hours and then got back on to return to ship.
