Review summary

Loved the staff, dining room food, our room. Didn't like the constant "forced fun". We went on a Holland American cruise in September and the entertainment was far better too. But this cruise was definitely more affordable!

Gladdie and Isidro took AMAZING care of us at dinner! So impressed. Knew our names right away and even what we had ordered to drink! Always friendly, always smiling. Would return just for them :)

I missed getting to choose movies and TV shows like Holland American had on their TV's.

Ship tip

It's very kinetic. If you want relaxing, not the cruise. Very crowded, loud music, lots of sales pitches.

Of course I've only cruised on carnival ... so I don't have anything else to compare it to.

Which part did you feel was "forced fun"? I felt like there was options for everyone to participate or not.

Holland America and carnival cater to different people. Holland America caters to seniors. Carnival to families
