Review summary

Carnival has given nothing to our family in the last 7 cruises not even an upgrade! I can not say that they gave us a deck of playing cards. Yes it rained the whole seven days but you make it what you can. if we were 1st time cruiser I believe we would never go on a cruise again. But being on other cruises I no that other ships from carnival are a much better experience ( Food,Entertainment and overall mates of the ship)

The food on the ship was not bearable . Main dinning was good except the MDR never said hello or greeted us at the table until the last day when he expected a tip. Needs to go back to schooling for management not a very friendly people person. The other eating areas on the cruise were not as good as other cruises

after spending 7 days on the cruise mostly on the ship because of rain all outside events were closed most of the time (not because of the ship because of the bad weather

Don.. yep your so right they do know there regulars by the points we get all those goodies including a carnival gift , wines washing done Etc we are platinum and will be Diamond in couple more cruises have had 19 cruise and never had a bad one yet.. been to great places and have amazing memories 15 day until Christmas cruise then have five booked for next year it's such an easy cost effective way to see the world.. enjoy 🥂

I’ve been on 7 carnival cruises and have been upgraded for free twice and a small fee once. Twice to cloud 9 interior rooms (we do use the spa quite a bit so this may have been a factor) and balcony once. We have also received complimentary fruit baskets, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and a few free drink vouchers (not including gold vifp voucher) They pay attention to your spending habits on board and treat their returning cruisers well in my experience. It may be my demographic + spending habits... my fiancé and I are 25 and will be Platinum April of 2019. So we’ve put some money into carnival early and maybe they are hoping we keep returning? Idk but we have yet to be disappointed.

It's what you make of it that ruins your vacation. Honestly if your that picky why don't you book with the other cruise lines.

When you go to the store or any place of business, do they typically give you things that you didn't pay for? I want to live in the land of free stuff too! Where do you live?

Why is that you feel like they "owe" you something? I am amazed at the sense of entitlement people feel sometimes. Choose the type of cabin that you want and pay for it. If you are dissatisfied with Carnival, try another to cruise line. Don't like the smaller ships, but the larger one. You get what you pay for.

Just got off the Splendor couple of weeks ago and loved every bit of it! We thought the food in the dining room was great. Wait staff were fantastic!

You don't get anything until your platinum or diamond ...so why would u think they have too? We're platinum and and get priority boarding, and seating washing done, strawberry chocs, wine and special goodies left in the room a badge for each cruise and different gift each cruise after 18 cruises .. and 160 points we deserve it ... so why do you think you should .. ???

Working on Carnival cruises 13 & 14. Never offered an upgrade that we did not search out for ourselves. As part of your VIFP profile did you indicate that you would prefer an upgrade offer if prices dipped? As for the rain if you booked a week at a resort and the weather did not cooperate and the airline would not let you exchange tickets for an earlier flight would you expect a price adjustment from either company?

been on 16 cruises....holland has upgraded us to view rooms 2 times....never on princess or carnival?

I have never even been offered a discounted upgrade. With more than 7 cruises. 😕
