Everyone of us were seasick the whole time during this Cruise. We got off Ship 10/29/17 and Wednesday 11/1/17 still feeling effects. I've been on 4 other cruises and never ever experienced this type of nausea and sickness. I used ginger oil and took motion sickness medication.
Embarkation

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters in the Main Dining Room were Great. We did have to wait periods in between for our next item of food. Got to try foods I've never tried before.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship was ok very PINK. Hand Sanitizer in areas to be used. Bathrooms always very clean. Still very ill from the motion sickness even though I used all precautions and took motion sickness pills twice a day.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Room was too small for 4 adults and wish were told that it would be a very tight accommodations. Room Steward did his job very well and we hardly ever seen him. Beds were comfy for the most part.
Ship tip
DO NOT TRAVEL DURING THE MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER! APPARENTLY THAT IS HURRICANE MONTH AND YOU COULD ENCOUNTER RAIN EVERY DAY OF YOUR CRUISE AND THEY WONT GIVE YOU ANY SORT OF CREDIT.
Best Day of our whole trip. Did the Belize City Tour and Al Tun Ha Mayan Ruins Tour. Our tour guide was on of the Best. Little rain until we got back on ship.
Luggage was all over the Place not on the Carousal we were told. Other than that going through Customs was a Breeze. We will carry luggage next time IF there is a next time.
Look we've cruised many times without fail! We love to Cruise. We also do the Motion Sickness thing. I know the weather is NOT noones fault. Simply stating WE HAD THE WORSE CRUISE EVER.... I know of others on the same cruise complaining a lot more than me. Simply stating it was bad and I won't cruise Aug-Oct again. No Big Deal. I am aloud to post my feelings as well.
Let's get this straight. You and your group suffers from motion sickness and you blame the cruise for it? I was on this ship for 6 days with my DGF and I wore the patch and she didn't. I didn't get sea sick.
The cabin was too small for 4 adults? Research, research and research and you failed to do your research because if you had, you would have seen that was a small cabin. You went short and cheap.
It's a buffet and I was on that ship and there is several places to get different food from. You could of went to the MDR for evening meals or brunch on sea days.
Didn't you check the weather the day you booked your cruise? Even Carnival isn't able to predict weather that far out. Im sure that it has never rained on any of your land vacations
Start taking the pills before you cruise. 4-6 hours before and continue to take them throughout the cruise so you stay on top of it. For example no lull in taking them. Also very impt to continue taking them when you disembark for 2-3 days so that your equilibrium has time to readjust to being on land. Sorry you were sick
Thanks everyone. We started Dramamine a couple days b4 the Cruise and I'm still taking. Never Ever been this sick it's Crazy. Seas were rough as we've ever seen. Never cruising in October AGAIN and we've cruised b4 love it
Some cruises are like that. It’s a ship and they can’t control the sea or the weather. I take Bonine/meclizine/Less Drowsy Dramamine and it usually works just fine. Nothing worked on the Gulf of Alaska on a Fjord tour. I was so sick I missed a whale that came right up to the boat!
We were on the same cruise and had no affects. We actually didn't feel that much movement of the ship. But we have been on a few cruises. Maybe we are used to it.
You have to take the motion sickness pills before you get sick and don't stop taking them for a week after either, so you don't get land sick as you get back to not rocking
