It was our 45 wedding anniversary and we wanted to get away, just the two of us. We never felt the splendor was crowded although it was full. I would do the cruise again but would like to pick a newer ship. We felt we didn't have enough time on several ports. Next time we will be more conscience of the hours that we will be on the islands.
Embarkation

There were so many lines it was difficult to know where to go. However, all personal that we asked directed us in the right direction.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We had "Anytime dining" in the black pearl and it was wonderful. The buffet was great for a few days then after that it got tiring of the same old thing. We did discover the BQ on the 10 aft and let me say it was awesome and it was so delicious it didnt get old!!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The fitness center was nice but crowded. Bathrooms in the fitness center were well kept. We purchased the whirlpool and sauna for couples and it was alright. The whirlpool was for the most part was not crowded. But as the cruise went on we noticed the water got cooler and likewise with the steam rooms etc. umm
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I have seen many shows and these were not he best but still very well choreographed.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room Stewart was awesome. His name was Mahfunden. He greeted us with a smile and remembered our names too. I made an effort to remember his too. Whatever we asked for he accomadated.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
I could see and smell some wear and tear but I could see the staff trying to keep up with the maintenance.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was a HC cabin however we did not require it. Very large with two windows. We were very close to the food "aft part of the ship" but had to walk the entire ship to shows and spa area. Our cabin was always clean thanks to our Stewart. It had a refrigerator that was cool and not cold.
Ship tip
Try to stay in a room in the middle of the ship. choose "anytime dining"
We did an excursion but purchased it online through a private party. "Exclusive escapes" i believe was the name. We went to the "amazing wall" a natural under the ocean and next to it was a thousand or so feet drop into the ocean like an abyss. Kind of fascinating and scary at the same time. They took us to an island where we had the opportunity to touch sting rays in their natural environment, They offered conch salad and rum punch. It was really just a taste of the salad and rum punch as it was in very small cup size containers.
We loved aruba. We went to Arashi beach and took the public bus which was awesome. The bus terminal is right across the street, walking distance. The cost was $10.00 for a day pass and you could hop on and off.
