Review summary

There was a lot to do and see to keep you very busy. However, IF you are handicapped in a wheelchair or scooter the staff seemed unaware of where the handicapped restrooms were located. I never found one the entire cruise. The App did not tell you.. Fortunately for me I can walk some so finding a bathroom was not too bad. The ports we visited were all nice, NO TENDERS!!! Long distances down walk ways for those with you. One port the gangway was quite steep and a bit narrow. I was going off but when I saw that I stayed on board as I worried I would have trouble getting back on board. Most tours did not accommodate scooters or wheelchairs. Maybe I did not ask the right questions. On board there was enough to do and see to keep me busy without leaving the ship. I did not try the spa, after looking at photos I cancelled my spa package since I was alone. Food was ok, not very hot, VERY VERY long lines for dining rooms,  Buffet line closed too early at night which left pizza (which was NOT very good) so room service was it and that had a very limited and poor menu. Only had sandwiches, very little hot. The best things you had to pay for and even then they could not get the order correct IE NO Peppers and Onions means just that NONE, nada, Zip, So I am guessing that the person preparing the meal AND the person delivering the meal cannot read ENGLISH as it was very plain in big letters on the ticket NO ONIONS, NO PEPPERS, NO PICKLE. This happened 3 times and I ordered room service at least once a day. Breakfast from room service was only dry stale/hard round pastry with a sticky smudge of some kind of jelly, cereal, milk coffee or tea, OJ was good, Breads with jam or cream cheese were mostly good, bagels were either hard or tough. Fruit was green and or hard. I stuck to cereal and milk and ordered extras for the room for snacks. Chocolate milk was great so I kept a supply in the fridge!! IF you like SWEET Tea be sure you ask for SUGAR/Sweetener because just asking for sweet tea does NOT get you sugar, ask for sugar. Room stewards were very nice, worked fast and quietly, kept my ice container (which I brought with me, so water does not run all over) full, checked at least 2 times a day. All in all I had fun and my roommate had fun but she said way too much walking. We were as far forward as you can get on deck 6. IF there is a next cruise I will book early so we can get and ADA cabin aft or mid-ship. The HUB App was very helpful, The chat part needs work but it did allow my roommate to keep in touch. They need a section for handicapped maps and a list of where handicapped restrooms are located. They tell you where the transgender restrooms are...I feel offended!!

TOO small for a person with a scooter. Could not turn around. Took 4 days to really figure out how to get into the room easily. nice balcony but the chairs are not designed for the handicapped. Big bathroom, that was great!! Beds very narrow, I cannot for the life of me figure how the 2 put together makes a KING Bed!! IF you are large and or Handicapped the room is not adequate. The room chair is made for a child or person of size 14 or smaller. TV is tiny so if you need closed captions, which my roommate did, you must sit right in front of the tv.

Ship tip

UPON embarkation IF you did not purchase FTTF pass plan on eating hand held items and just wandering around or wear your swim suit under your clothes and go for a swim while waiting for 130 to roll around.

Is the images you posted from a balcony or ocean view? How many 110 outlets and where were the located?

I never thought about the bathrooms around the ship. Wow. That is surprising... hopefully someone will decide to fix that.

As a matter of fact I tried to book 4 balconies with 1 being handicap 8 mo,s in advance on carnival and they couldn't do it , 2 hrs later I called MSC and they gave me what I needed gladly, 2 weeks later Carnival called me back saying there computers had a glich when I called they could accomodate us , they even offered us drink packages for free if I canceled the MSC glad I didnt

My wife used a mobility scooter on MSC Divina and had no issues, if you booked ahead of time you should've called Carnivals special services , and gotten info on the bathroom s or went to the reception area, as far as tenders MSC accommodated us ate one port ,they lifted her scooter on and off the tender and for a bus tour of the island they guaranteed the safety of her scooter while we went on the bus , my wife can walk 40/50 ft, at a time

Carnival does not have any handicap bathrooms. Lately Celebrity has announced they are catering more to the handicapped crowd by offering ships Solstice and Silhouette for their travels. I hope you can find a better time if you use one of these.

Wow, with all the complaints and issues you ran into, I'm surprised you gave 4 stars.
