Review summary

I would not use Carnival Splendor again. The boat is very confusing. To get from one to the other, you had to go up and then down. We always had lines, dinner, getting off, getting back on, customer service desk, drinks.My husband and I both got headaches after day 4 and I got really sick on day 6 and was sick for 10 more days after I got home. Dr. said I had a virus.I had serve headache and fever,chills,and body aches. My husband only had headache for 6-7 days.

We like to gamble, but the casino was so smokie it gave us both headaches. WE could enjoy gambling at all. WE have been on a lot of cruise ship with casino's and the air quality on the Splendor was awful.

the staff mostly was very good. But the service was poor and I don't think the staff ,waiter, could control how the food came out of the kitchen

Cabin was very nice and roomy. Cabin boy , ADE, was great. Room never got really cool. I was fine but my husband felt it should have gotten cooler

it really depends on the deck you're on when wanting to go from one end to the other. Try using the deck plan they issue while waiting to board. Have you noticed that in some hotels you can't get to the lobby without going outside?

I think what she is talking about with the up and down is having to go around the galley (kitchen).. pretty sure that all ships

Agreed, lines happen and so do stairs. I usually don't get lost but any ship is confusing for a day or two. Imagine if they were at WDW in their lines.

Love the Splendor. Sounds like cruising isn't for you. And FYI you can pick up a virus literally anywhere.

I was on the Splendor for 8 days at the end of hurricane season and I HAD A BLAST. That was my first cruise (2 years ago). I would definitely go back on the Splendor
