Review summary

The boat was very outdated in its décor. The food was sub-par and usually cold. Buffet was mundane and repetitive. Pizza was good! Pools were very small and overcrowded, could never get a lounge chair. On board activities were limited and overcrowded. The only good thing was the comedy club having nightly performances. We will never cruise with Carnival again.

Stateroom attendant was fantastic! Although, our shower wouldn't drain and frequently overflowed. Lighting was poor and outdated. Chairs on balcony were covered in dried paint. Everything was really outdated and needs updating.

The decor isn't outdated. It's the theme of the ship. I absolutely loved the Splendor.

lets see you get to go on a cruise, you don't have to cook, you don't have to clean, you get to see places that some only dream about and you do not have to agree or disagree with me but I have my opinion and I will never judge you or any one else ð

cruiserforlife it's not being snooty when you spend all that money on a Christmas cruise for a family vacation and it doesn't turn out as good as you wanted for your family.

I didn't think I was snooty just stating that for families with small kids it was a let down! And I am very appreciative of the trips that I get to take with my family! The Carnival Conquest was a fine ship and we had a great time but since I will be cruising with my kids I have to have their interest at heart! Please don't judge someone simply because they don't agree with you! âº

We cruised on Splendor Christmas of 2015 and was very disappointed in the kids activities! We had cruised Carnival a few times but this was our first with our 3 boy's and asides from the kids club which closed in the middle of most of the evening shows which made it impossible for us to go to any the kids entertainment was lackluster at best! And asides from a Christmas tree they had few Holiday activities! Christmas eve they showed The Martian and didn't show The Grinch till 11 when kids are already in bed! Splendor is our last Carnival Cruise!

The last time I cruised on the Splendor, I got a respiratory infection. I got it from having to walk through the casino to get from the aft to the front of the ship as well as the stale air in our storeroom. 5 of the 8 nights were at the comedy club because there wasn't much of anything else. During the day, they had bingo, salsa dancing lessons and how to make towel animals.

Loved the Splendor, have travelled from Australia to sail with Carnival and have not had a single bad cruise. Sailing on Liberty, Magic, Magic again as a back to back, Victory and then fascination in Oct/Nov 17. Would not be coming so far if I had a problem with Carnival. A cruise is only what you make of it and go with the flow. Some things may not meet your expectations but appreciate what you receive and stop complaining.

Wow cruised her 3 weeks ago, food was awesome, steakhouse 2nd to none. the service and staff and pools and spa just amazing. sorry to hear y'all didn't enjoy her.
