Review summary
My husband and I took this cruise because we always traveled to the Caribbean and not anywhere else. The 7 Night Canada & New England Cruise seem like the perfect cruise to explore new surroundings other than blue waters and beaches. Not that we didn't enjoy beautiful beaches and crystal blue water but, rather something different like historical monuments and rolling hills. Our accommodations were excellent in our ocean cabin. The balcony and large bathroom was perfect for us. The young man taking care of us was truly exceptional, remembering our names and keeping us supplied with plenty of water and ice, which we liked. Dining can be a challenge when accommodating such a large passenger guest list. The chefs onboard certainly met the challenge, providing various on trays for us to enjoy. Entertainment, without a doubt, keep us going, whether it was Bingo, Art Auctions or just watching a movie on deck. The fun never stopped. The Cloud 9 Spa was a wonderful experience, with exercising in the morning and evening to the latest technology in skin care. My favorite was the shore excursions. Ports of Call in Boston, MA and Portland, ME depicted beautiful cities rich in history about America. These cities are clean and friendly to tourists, like myself. Also, venturing into Canada was exciting. Thick fog awaited us apparently in Canada but, that's to be expected from these small Province's of NB and NS. Cities rich in fisheries and arts and crafts. The people of Canada are very friendly and welcoming. I found it amazing how the Captain of our cruise was able to maneuver through the weather, like rain and fog and keep the passengers and crew in confident spirits throughout our voyage. The overall experience was excellent. Simply relaxing, yet enriching with history of our forefathers. I highly recommend this cruise for a change in scenery compared to the Carribean. Not that the Carribean is beautiful but, so is New England and Canada!
