Review summary

I enjoyed my time with my wife. That being said we could have done that anywhere. The staff on the ship was very friendly and helpful. We were most impressed with the dinner staff. That is saying a lot since the food did not leave any lasting impressions. That is to be said for all the locations on the ship seeing we ate at all but 1. There was smoking on board at almost every turn which is not something we were very fond of. The staff also did not do a very good job policing the Adult only area's as there were children running rampant through the entire ship. The comedy club was very nice, George Lopez gets many kudos for the selection of comedians that performed for us. I am sure I could write more but as I said in the title it was 7 nights of mediocre vacation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Pizza, Burgers, Buffets Lousy! Main dining hall hit or miss but mostly misses. Lots of options but not to many that were enticing.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Most options were not even worth considering. The comedians were great. The DJ at the night club was good, until the 2nd and 3rd nights we realized he was playing the Exact same songs!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
1 of 2 bright spots on the entire cruise! They were not only friendly and helpful but took time to learn about you and had great recommendations for activities at port besides the ones the cruise was overcharging for.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
2 issues, the Queen size bed was actually 2 twins mashed together which made it very uncomfortable. The TV was of poor picture quality and made watching the FREE movies bothersome.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

3 out of 5
Sufficient amount of time to actually do something in a port! Spent the afternoon on a great tour of the city.
Don't Miss: Take the city tour and find Juan Manuel if you can. Great Guide and small tour groups.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
Best meal of the entire vacation was found out of the tourist area at a little taco hole in the wall! Did not spend the money on the tourist activities and spent more time wandering the local areas.
Don't Miss: You will miss a lot since the port time is very tight!

Pros: Ship Staff, Comedians (comedy club)

Cons: Days at Port, Smoking, Food

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.
