Carnival Splendor

7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)

Sail date: March 20, 2011

Ship: Carnival Splendor

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Reviewed: 13 years ago

Review summary

Our rooms (3) were located on the 2nd level. That was a huge mistake as we were up all night with the loud booming of the water slamming into the ship. I cannot believe Carnival sells these rooms. The ship was creaky, carpets dingy, food service luke warm and slow in the dining room. We've cruised Carnival before and enjoyed it immensely. They have gone downhill.
