Review summary

The Spirit is a nice older ship. We had a wonderful time. We plan to go again on this ship sometime soon.

Embarkation

Fast and easy process. Family member required wheelchair assistance that was immediately available. Just wish this had been the case on disembarking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good in MDR as well as pizza, burgers and sandwiches. We rarely eat the buffet but did have asian cuisine that was on the buffet that was okay. The chef’s table was excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did the behind the scenes tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the variety of musicians performing all over the ship. The comedians and shows were good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall service was great and staff we encountered were wonderful . Room steward and wait staff in MDR were great. However the bar service was often slow but all the bars appeared to be understaffed. And it was difficult to get any bar service while playing in the casino, unless you actually went to the bar yourself. We can say the bar staff were friendly and doing the best they could.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean and easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

Disembarkation

Traveling with an elderly family member that required wheelchair assistance. In the past this family member usually beats us off the ship. This time we were off the ship, got luggage loaded in the car and pulled around to pick up family member but she was still waiting for assistance. She was sent to two different holding areas to wait before she finally got a wheelchair and assistance off. She was told that the port staff that assists were late arriving. Luckily we were driving and not flying so we just waited patiently.
