Review summary

The cruise was good. We did do 2 excursions through RCI and neither were totally what we expected from the write up when we picked them.

Embarkation went well, but getting into the parking garage was terrible.

Food and Dining

The food in the main dining room was just ok. The night we had lobster, my lobster was awful. It was all mushy. I didn't eat any of it. Some things were quite good, while others just ok. The tomato soup tasted different from previous cruises and not in a better way.

Onboard Activities

We didn't do a lot of onboard activities as we mostly just hung out at the pool. We did participate in the hoola hoop contest which was fun. The pool was very nice.

Entertainment

I really enjoyed the nightly stage shows. The performers were very entertaining. One comedian was good while the other I saw was not as good.

Service and Staff

The dining room staff was very good. We especially loved our head waiter, Ira! His helper John was also quite good. Ronald, our room steward was exceptional.

We really liked our cabin and balcony; however, they were not able to remove the divider between our cabin and 5137 which was the girls with us. That was quite disappointing.

Join a FaceBook group for your specific cruise. That's where you get all the details of theme nights and such. Would be nice if Carnival provided this info to you ahead of time.
