My favorite cruise so far! We were in agreement, as we sailed home…we will return to all of these ports! Fantastic memories & ports!
Embarkation

When our Uber dropped us off a gentleman immediately came up, loaded our bags on a cart and led us in to handicap access, I can’t walk ramps due to a knee problem, they met my group at the door, put me in a wheelchair & away we went! Elevator took us to flat walkway! Then we were separated & of course the rest of my party needed me so our wine count per person would be correct, no problem, “my guy” grabbed the rest of my party & away we all went! Everyone seemed in great moods!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
This trip, I do have to say, the food in the MDR was just a little disappointing. A few items the portion sizes were so small it was laughable, and a few menu items just weren’t of the usual high caliber I am used to in your MDR’s. The sticky buns on the buffet were sensational though😉 Our crew in the MDR was amazing, trouble was with preparation.
Onboard Activities

Loved the serenity deck & spent my sea days there!
Entertainment

Service and Staff

All personnel on the Spirit were fantastic, helpful, courteous, friendly…can’t say enough good!
Ship Quality

Possibly the prettiest ship I have been on. Love the blown glass art pieces in the niches in the stairwells…I took stairs as much as I could so I could see all the pretties! I also loved the little hidden walkway/alcove on,I think it was deck 2, where you could walk through, find a quiet space & enjoy…love those Spirit class ships!
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was okay. Problem was when they rescheduled our cruise, which was canceled due to the original ship being chartered to someone else not Covid, they put our room at the very front of the ship on the 7th floor & the rest of our party at the very back of the ship on the 8th floor. We had connecting rooms originally. We did a LOT of walking!
Ship tip
Be sure to walk the stairs & enjoy the blown glass art/vases! Also look for hidden gems, like walkways with little coves of chairs with windows to get away from the hustle & bustle!
Once again, hired a local to learn about island. We let him talk us out of our original destination, wish we hadn’t. Where he took us was nice/fine, but not the “local flavor” we were looking for. I would definitely return to St Kitts!
Just enjoyed the beach, there are lounges as you get off the ship, just go claim one & enjoy your day! I listed Grand Turk as a possible place to move to when I win the lottery!
Goodness! I love San Juan! I will never walk from the ship to the fort again, but it WAS a pretty walk! I will return to Puerto Rico, just not certain when!
I was on that cruise as well. You are right about everything. I just loved the staff and the jungle area. Spent a bit of time there reading. MDR was hit and miss. Loved all the ports as well.
