I was on this cruise as well. The ship got a new coat of paint and that was all Carnival did for Spirit. The line at the purser desk was long every day once there was a man walk up to those in line taking notes. One lady said to him the A/C in her room was broken and has been for 3 days.

Rising concerns for our switched ship cruise from freedom to spirit. Not getting good vibes. We sail in January. Seems is spirit far less quality than the ship we booked on, the freedom. I don't want Brown water and extended waiting tomes for dinner for an 8 days cruise!!!

We were on the same cruise. It was not good. We don't ever complain because vacation is what you make of it but this was not good for a lot of people! Brown water in cabins, no remote controls in cabin..and TV is on same channel no way to turn off to sleep for first two days, no live shows, Sailabration cruise for Carnival's 50th birthday but didn't have birthday memorabilia for celebration. We planned for this cruise since it was advertised, so this shouldn't have been a surprise to Carnival! It doesn't matter that this was the first cruise in two years on this ship! It should have been ready for passengers.

Thanks for the review. I believe this was Spirit’s first cruise in almost 2 years and the first Carnival cruise out of Jacksonville in the same timeframe. Hopefully they will get staffing and training up to speed in the coming weeks. It’s usually best to wait a few weeks before sailing on any new, refurbished or re-positioned ship to allow times for any issues to be resolved.
