Review summary

Overall the cruise was good but a few things could use improvement. Compared to previous cruises, the food was not fantastic. The last cruise I took, I was photographing the food but not this time. The food tasted good and there were many choices. The portions were a bit small but you can eat as much as you like. The waiter and staff were fantastic and a lot of fun. Our stateroom was kept extremely clean and having a balconey was a bonus that I highly recommend. The shore excursions in Skagway were a disappointment- not very organized but this is not the fault of the cruise line. They need larger signs for the buses. Enjoyed the whalewatching excursion very much. The gardens in BC were pretty but it was too late in the evening to really enjoy them and more time would be nice.

Our whale watching experience was fantastic. We saw many whales, dolphins, and seals. Even bad weather didn't diminish this experience.

Too late in the night to go to the gardens. Our guide was very good and full of interesting facts but I would have preferred to see the gardens during the day. Not enough time in this port

Skagway, Alaska

The train ride was very interesting but our guide was not very good. She was a bit disorganized and wasn't sure we were suppose to go. Panning for gold was fun
