Carnival Spirit

8 Night Mexican Riviera (San Diego Roundtrip)

Sail date: January 10, 2007

Ship: Carnival Spirit

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

This was our third cruise and our first with Carnival. The Spirit was a nice ship and was more comparable to the Holland, Oosterdam than to the Royal Carribean, Princess of the Seas. It has been difficult to compare our last two cruises with our first on Royal Carribean. There was definate lack of overall friendliness and service on the Spirit compared to our other cruises. The food was not as good on this ship. I had to reorder steaks two nights and should have a third night because of overcooking of medium rare steaks. I finally gave up and ordered a hamburger and fries one night. There were just a lot of little things that weren't right.
