Review summary
The Carnival Spirit is a beautiful ship. The atrium was lovely and the decor was stunning. With so many balcony rooms, we missed access to the outdoor decks available on many of the levels. The staterooms were very spacious and our steward attended to every detail. Our dining experience in the steakhouse restaurant was outstanding. We had very poor dining room service and the food quality was only okay. We found the bar staff was not as pleasant as on other cruises. If we ordered a drink, it seemed like we were inconveniencing the staff. We were impressed with the philanthropy project of providing supplies and assistance to an orphanage, and wished we had known about it before the last day of the cruise. There were many details of a cruise experience that seemed to be missing on this cruise.Ports of call
Pros: The ports were outstanding
Cons: The service was disappointing
