Review summary
For older people there is too much walking involved on the cruise. It is hard enough just getting to the various areas of the ship that we needed to go, but going ashore was out of the question. From the ship to the nearest place you could get a taxi was way out of our range.
The service on the ship was excellent in all areas, all the crew we had contact with were helpful and courteous.
The food at the buffet and the specialty areas, such as grill, pizza, and Mongolian Grill were good. While the dining room staff was excellent in the way they treated us some of the main entrées were not very good. The vegetables served on the main dish were either undercooked or overcooked and did not taste very good. The alligator tasted like fried dressing and had no alligator taste at all. The veal Parmesan was coated with way too much breading and the meat was tough. The one really good main entrée was the lobster tail and shrimp.
On all the other cruises I have been on the last night had a grand buffet with ice sculptures and decorated food or the culinary staff had a chance to really show their skills. I miss that on this trip.
