Review summary

The ship crew was superb and wonderful at every turn...mostly smiles from many when they walked by you in a hall way or in a restaurant.  Head waiter Kenroy in the main dining room was ON HIS GAME at all times and is always focused on taking care of the guest.  He makes you feel like YOU are the only one who is important.

Rene my steward for our guest room was most pleasant and always cared about our well being the entire cruise.  The added touches of the folded towel animals or crustaceans was always a smile moment when returning to the stateroom.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was just there...it was not presented with any real panache or skill. It would be nice to see more talent used such as ice carvings. Food itself from the kitchen to the plate in the dining room was plated beautifully just had no real added flavor.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We wanted to take the behind the scenes tour but the charge of $49 was out of line...$10 i would have splurged for myself and my wife...$49 is just wrong...some one should revisit that pricing.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Comedians were good...the 80's show was OK...it would be enjoyable to put together a nice "Broadway" type review evening... The 80s show is just a bit old....It is time to incorporate some old Broadway with new shows like music from Wicked, Rent, Book of Mormon etc etc

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Kenroy and team in the dining room were always ready with a smile and were on top of their game the entire time...Rene our steward was wonderfully attentive

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was VERY clean and we always saw the staff cleaning

Cabin / Stateroom

TIRED, Did not take photos but laminate was coming off of base of cabinet. Curtains should be retired for inside cabins on fake window look and maybe a wallpaper mural of the ocean should be replaced. Speakman shower head was a nice surprise as that is what I use at home. I would love to work with Carnival on Quality and procurement as that is my background with the hospitality industry. Buying first class at 3rd class costs.

Ship tip

No real tip just an observation. It seemed that everyone disembarking had to pass through only ONE same point of exit... It seemed like all lines were heading to the only disembarking location. If you could have more than one it would allow passengers to move off the ship faster.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Poorly marked when you return to the port of where and how to catch offsite parking shuttle. We actually were let off at terminal 5 when we boarded from terminal 6 so it was confusing of how to catch the offsite shuttle.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

OK no problems...
